River Way China Consulting provides strategic consulting and advisory services to corporations, universities and non-profit organizations. Sara Judge, Founder and Managing Director of River Way China Consulting, has developed a career-long expertise on China and a track record of high-impact results. She has senior operational experience, and brings a valuable blend of strategic leadership and execution to each project she undertakes.
Sara recently served as President of China Institute, a position she held for eight years. China Institute is the oldest US-China educational organization in the country with a mission of advancing a deeper understanding of China. Founded in 1926, the Institute is internationally recognized for outstanding business forums, art exhibitions, lectures and K-12 language and professional training courses. During her tenure as President, China Institute’s assets increased from $3.4 million in 2006 to $27.6 million in 2013.
Sara also served as a Global Director of Avenues World Holdings, establishing the Avenues operations in Beijing and leading the company's government relations strategy in China; Director of Asia for AFS Intercultural Programs, managing AFS national offices in eight Asian countries; and as Senior Associate for Kamsky Associates, Inc. in the Beijing and New York offices, managing relationships for client corporations engaged in trade and investment activities with China. She graduated with a degree in East Asian Studies (Chinese) from Princeton, pursued postgraduate Chinese language and literature studies at Peking University, and completed two Executive Education Courses at Harvard Business School. Sara currently serves as Vice Chair of the Princeton University Alumni Council.
